چکیده

We construct a class of quantum channels in arbitrary dimensions for which entanglement enhances the mutual information. The channels have correlated noise and when the level of correlation passes a critical value we see a sharp transition in the optimal input states, states which maximize the mutual information or minimize the output entropy, from separable states to maximally entangled states. This adds to the already accumulated evidence that the conjecture of additivity of classical capacity of quantum channels does not hold for correlated channels.

6 Transition behavior in the capacity of correlated - noisy channels in arbitrary dimensions

We construct a class of quantum channels in arbitrary dimensions for which entanglement improves the performance of the channel. The channels have correlated noise and when the level of correlation passes a critical value we see a sharp transition in the optimal input states (states which minimize the output entropy) from separable to maximally entangled states. We show that for a subclass of c...

Transition of D- Level Quantum Systems Through Quantum Channels with Correlated Noise

Entanglement and entanglement-assisted are useful resources to enhance the mutual information of the Pauli channels, when the noise on consecutive uses of the channel has some partial correlations. In this Paper, we study quantum communication channels in d-dimensional systems and derive the mutual information of the quantum channels for maximally entangled states and product states coding with...

An approximate model for slug flow heat transfer in channels of arbitrary cross section

In this paper, a novel approximate solution to determine the Nusselt number for thermally developed, slug (low-prandtl), laminar, single phase flow in channels of arbitrary cross section is presented. Using the Saint-Venant principle in torsion of beams, it is shown that the thermally developed Nusselt number for low-prandtl flow is only a function of the geometrical parameters of the channel c...

Micro-channels over the glass surface made by interaction of Ar+ laser beam and Ag+/Na+ ion-exchanged glasses

Micro-channels are made over the Ag+/Na+ ion-exchanged soda-lime glass surface by interaction of an intense Ar+ laser beam and the silver ions inside the glass matrix. The Ar+ laser beam reduces the Ag+ ions inside the matrix. The Ag+ atoms aggregate into silver nano-clusters around the interaction area, inside the glass matrix. Aggregation of the silver atoms and the thermal effects of the int...

Entanglement-Assisted Classical Capacity of Noisy Quantum Channels

Prior entanglement between sender and receiver, which exactly doubles the classical capacity of a noiseless quantum channel, can increase the classical capacity of some noisy quantum channels by an arbitrarily large constant factor depending on the channel, relative to the best known classical capacity achievable without entanglement. The enhancement factor is greatest for very noisy channels, ...
